| UII Basketball Team Goes to Grand Final LA Lights Campus League 2011 |

On Friday, November 25, UII Vice Rector III, Ir. Bachnas, M.Sc. welcomed UII basketball team at Rectorate Building, GBPH Prabuningrat, UII campus. In his speech, Ir. Bachnas, M.Sc., stated that he was proud of the achievement achieved by the UII men’s basketball team. Ir. Bachnas, M.Sc expressed gratitude toward both UII men’s basketball team and the basketball coach who have struggled in the competition. Hence, they could take part in national basketball competition. “The process is most important point to do in this competition so that UII basket ball team will be better in the future.” He added In this occasion, UII Vice Rector III, also expected to UII basketball team that they must manage their time and role wisely. “Although UII basketball team got many achievements in competition, UII students must put academic study as their main priority.” Ir. Bachnas, M.Sc emphasized. On the other hand, Suryadi, as the representative of the team said that this achievement was the result of team’s hard work. UII basketball team won their basketball match against college basket ball team at DIY level. He also hoped that, all of UII community prays for UII basketball team in order to gain a victory in this national basketball competition. There are many college participating in the Grand Final LA Lights Campus League 2011 such as Universitas Jember, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, UNDIP, Semarang, ABFII Perbanas, Jakarta, Univerisitas Negeri Jakarta, ITB Bandung, dan Institut Taman Harapan Bangsa Bandung. UII men’s basketball team deserved highly appreciation since they will take part in the Grand Final LA Lights Campus League 2011. The basketball competition will be held on November 28th until December 3rd at GOR C-Tra Arena, Bandung. Before entering the grand final, UII basketball team took part at a very tight Basketball match at DIY level.
