MAPALA UNISI Wins 2nd Prize on ‘SERAYU OPEN 2011’ E-mail

ImageStudents of Environment Club Islamic University of Indonesia (MAPALA UNISI) won 2nd prize on ‘SERAYU OPEN 2011’, sprint category of arum rapids competition. The team was led by Bayu Gentari Rahman. MAPALA UNISI was declared of the 2nd winner after obtaining 2 minutes, 40,17 seconds as their time record. While in this competition, the 1st winner was Palapsi UGM.

Held on December 11, at Serayu River, Banjarnegara, this prestigious competition was participated by 28 teams. According to Indarto, the chairman of arum rapids association, many arum rapids association took part in this competition coming from Malang, Probolinggo, Jakarta, Sukabumi, Magelang, Banten, and Banjarnegara. Furthermore, there were three categories of competition, namely sprint, head to head, and down river race. The total of prize in this competition was 46,5 million rupiah.
