| FTI Postgraduate Program Presents Public Lecture |

The Director of FTI Graduate Program, UII, Dr. Sri Kusumadewi, S.Si, M.T opened the events which was held at FTI UII Audiovisual Room, on Thursday (29/12). She said that this events was conducted as the following action of partnership program between three parties. "Yesterday, the students attending today had a visit to Tribun (the Morning Daily of Tribun Jogja)" she said when opening the public lecture. Dr. Sri also added that these events were an effort to provide both of knowledge and practical insights for FTI students. By attending this public lecture, it was expected that both of undergraduate and postgraduate students of FTI UII get many understanding on the engineeering of business process from the businessmen’s speakers. The public lecture presented M. Taufik Adam, the Corporate Secretary of QMS Manager of PT Sritex, and Musyafi', Production Manager of Tribun Jogja as the speaker. To the audiences, M. Taufik introduced the Sritex’s company profile as the integrated textile-garment industry applying technologies and advanced production machines. Meanwhile, Musyafi' explained further about media business. Musyafi' conveyed that Tribun Jogja, imitated the method of news media in United States running their business. “News media have to try get their income by relying on advertisers. However, news media business in Indonesia was still depending on sales of content and paid subscriptions to earn their income.” He added. The PostgraduateProgram of Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) UII in cooperation with Tribun Jogja and PT Sritex held a public lecture and workshop upholding a theme "Engineering of Business Process in Online News Media Industry."
