| UII Student Gets Achievement Award |

This statement was conveyed by UII Rector, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec while having press conference on Tuesday (01/24) at Padang Sederhana Restaurant., Kaliurang Street, Yogyakarta. Also attended in this event were, UII Vice Rector I, Nandang Sutrisno, SH., MH., LLM, P.hD, and Vise Rector III, Ir. Bachnas, M.Sc. UII Rector also stated this entrepreneurial achievement confirmed UII commitment to nurture graduates who not only get ready to compete in work force but also able to provide employments. According to study tracer on 2010, 8% of the UII graduates became entrepreneur. Besides, 28,6% of Environmental Engineering graduates, 25% of statistics program graduates, and 18,2% Management graduates are self employed. Taking part in this competition, Fauzan proposed business on Milk production. KALIMILK-PT Farbis Indonesia was milk brand produced by Fauzan. KALIMILK is stand for Kaliurang and Milk. Fauzan has established dairy cattle at Kaliurang region. 3.751 university students from 385 different universities participated in this program. There were only 69 participants who become the finalist in this competition, including 37 undergraduate students and 32 post graduate students. Meanwhile, Pulung Agung Dinugraha, student of Economics Faculty UII also became the finalist of this competition who creates Fadeout DJ School.
Wirausaha Muda Mandiri was entrepreneurship program conducted by Bank Mandiri as an attempt to encourage Indonesian entrepreneur. Moreover, the aim of this program was also to accelerate economic growth, provide employment opportunities, and reduce unemployment. The award ceremony was held on Friday (01/20). Fauzan as the first winner achieved 50 million Rupiah as the prize. |
