From the total of 247 undergraduate students, there were 33 (13,36%) graduate with cum laude predicate and Rosalina Nur Annisa from Management Program, Faculty of Economics UII obtained the highest GPA of 3,89. Beside, as many as 151 (61.13%) graduates finished their study on time. Lena, the student of Law Faculty UII finished her study for 3 years and three months. Equal Balance of Hard and Soft Skill UII Rector, Prof Dr Edy Suandi Hamid MEc, in his speech stated that UII graduates have to apply the knowledge gained during their study at UII. “I urge you, the graduates, to implement your knowledge gained during your academic activities in UII such as seminar, research activities, and many others. By implementing your knowledge, you contribute in developing our nation as well as keeping UII good names.” said UII Rector in his speech. In his speech, Prof. Edy also mentioned several achievement attained by UII for the past two months (December 2011-January 2012). According to released version of 4ICU Worlds University Rankings, UII was awarded as the best private university in Yogyakarta (Kopertis V) as well as the 2nd best private university in Indonesia. According to survey ‘2012 University Web Ranking’, UII rank 13th for Indonesia level. UII ranking improved significantly, if compared to UII in previous period ranked 18th position. Furthermore, in the early 2012, Islamic University of Indonesia students have once again curved glorious achievements. UII Faculty of Law student, Fauzan Rachmansyah got 1st place winner of Wirausaha Muda Mandiri (Young Entrepreneurs Competition), category of Culinary Business. In addition, Erwin Aritama Ismail, UII Medicine Faculty student took part on 9th Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference (APMEC). In this conference which was conducted in Singapore, he delivered presentation upholding a theme “Correlation between Student’s Motivation and Student’s Performance in Tutorial Discussion”. Erwin was the one of 60 best researchers after his research abstract was selected and defeat 500 research abstract coming from 50 countries
“In addition, one of daily news in Yogyakarta also reported one of UII students who was confirmed as graduate today succeed to grow her business which produced canned Gudeg.It is one of UII student attainment” Prof. Edy stated. UII rector also expected to the UII graduates to always play active role in National or International level. “Keep balancing between Hard skill and Soft skill so that you can deliver real contribution to build our Nation to better future.” UII Rector closed his speech

Since 1963 until now, Islamic University of Indonesia has produced 64.671 Graduates. There were 286 graduates of Islamic University of Indonesia including 15 from diploma program, 247 from undergraduate program, and 24 from master program which on Saturday (01/27) was confirmed as graduates. Graduation ceremony held at ‘KHA Kahar Mudzakkir’ Auditorium, UII main campus.
