6 Academic Programs of UII Achieve PHK-PS Grant E-mail

Image6 Academic Programs as the grantees of Competitive Grant Program for Academic Disciplines on Tuesday (01/31), signed grant contract. Competitive Grant Program for Academic Disciplines (PHK-PS Grant) conducted by Board of Academics Development, Islamic University of Indonesia aimed to provide grants for all of academic programs in Islamic University of Indonesia to improve their quality and management as well as to achieve best accreditation toward World Class University. The signing was conducted by UII Rector, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec., and the grantees at UII main campus.

The Head of UII Academics Development Board, Dr. Ir. Sugini, MT, IAI uttered this signing ceremony was the crucial stage in conducting this grant program. After conducting nego-costing which was held on January 24-26, the six academics programs was appointed as the grantees. The grantees have to submit both proposal revision and program implementation plan.

Ir. Sugini also added that the grantees receive grant money as many as 2,1 billion Rupiah. The grantees also would conduct its program that start in February until October.  In conducting its program, the grantees were under Evaluation and Monitoring team of UII Academics Development Board supervision. They also have to submit the report in three phases which will be executed on January, June, and October 2012.

Meanwhile, UII Rector, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec., in this occasion mentioned that this internal grant program was rarely conducted by other university. It was expected this program can enhance the university re-accreditation in both national and international recognitions. “Let’s work tirelessly to accomplish our duty and do it all out to achieve our goals. If this program lasted well, the alma mater good name of Islamic University of Indonesia good name will be better in the future.” Prof. Edy emphasized.

The six academic programs awarded as the grantees of Competitive Grant Program for Academic Disciplines (PHK-PS Grant) were Civil Engineering Department, Architecture Department, Mechanical Engineering Department, Management Department, Informatics Department, and Electrical Engineering.
