| UII Law Faculty Students Join a Students Exchange Program to IIUM |

Ten students who left to IIUM were four male students and five female students of Law faculty International Program as well as one female student of Law faculty regular program. They were Arborea, Ade Irfan Santosa, Rwa Tattwa Jnana Paramita, Rozziana Nyndhya, Novia Arifiyanti Purwandari, Cahya Nugraha, Akhmad Al Farouqi, Annisa Faricha, Melisa Fitria Dini, and Andi Putri Sekar Langit. During joining this program, they will be accompanied by Vice Dean of Law Faculty, Dr Saifudin, SH MHum and Law Faculty Lecturer, Prof. Jawahir Tontowi, SH. Ph.D. Meanwhile, Prof. Jawahir Tontowi, SH PhD will also become keynote speaker at public lecturer on ‘International Border between Indonesia and Malaysia.” In the future, this student exchange program will be conducted for six month in order to optimize the teaching and learning process. This plan is still discussed by Dr. Zaid Mohamad as the student exchange program coordinator with IIUM. Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, MEc, expected to UII students to maintain alma mater good name. “As the representative of UII students and Indonesian students as well, you must keep a positive attitude and do best to maintain Indonesia good names. Moreover, you have to deliver positive impression in order to pursue strong international cooperation between other parties.” Prof Edy stated. By joining this program, UII Law faculty students will get opportunity to enrich their knowledge especially in Law studies as well as to broaden their understanding about Malaysia culture. And when coming back to Indonesia, they can apply and share their experience with others student in Law Faculty UII. In addition, the aim of this student exchange program was an effort to improve UII accreditation and to give opportunity UII students to study abroad. Meanwhile, International Program Dean, Drs. Asma'i Ishak, M.Bus Ph.D who also attends the farewell event asked the students to actively participate in class activity and extra curricular activities in AIKOL-IIUM. “You must take active part in the lectures and discussion. “ He emphasized.
Also attended in this farewell event were UII Vice Rector I, Nandang Sutrisno, SH LLM MHum PhD, Vice Rector III Ir. Bachnas MSc., The Director of Directorate of Cooperation, Marketing and Alumni, Fitri Nugraheni, ST MT PhD., The Head of Law Department, Karimatul Ummah, SH. M.Hum, and also Director of International Program of Law Faculty, Dr. Aroma Elmina Martha, SH. MH.

Islamic University of Indonesia again conducted the 3rd Student Exchange Program along with Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Laws International Islamic University Malysia (AIKOL-IIUM). On Wednesday (02/08), UII Rector, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec gave his approval to ten students of Law faculty who join the student exchange in AIKOL-IIUM, in February 11- March 9, 2012.
