The MoU signing was conducted by UII Vice Rector I, Nandang Sutrisno, SH, M.Hum, LLM,Ph.D on behalf the university along with his counterpart, Dean of Technical Education Faculty, Rajamangala University of Technologi Thanyaburi, Assoc.Prof. Praset Pinpathomrat, Ph.D at Rectorate Building, UII main campus, Yogyakarta. Serving as witnessess to the MoA signing were UII Vice Rector III, Ir. Bachnas M.Sc, RMUTT Head of Mechatronic Department, Dr.Dechrit Maneetham, Directorate of Marketing, Collaboration and Alumni Affair UII Director, Fitri Nugraheni, S.T, M.T, Ph.D, Vice Dean of Faculty of Industrial Technology, Wahyudi Budi Pramono, S.T, M.Eng, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, Agung Nugroho Adi, S.T, M.T, Mechanical Engineering Department Lecturer, Risdiyono, S.T., M.Eng. and International Office Staff, Nihlah Ilhami, S.Pd, Before the signing of the MoU, UII Vice Rector I, Nandang Sutrisno, SH, M.Hum, LLM,Ph.D in his welcoming speech expressed warm welcome to the delegations. “I appreciate the visit of RMUTT delegation to further discuss potential collaboration opportunities. We do hope that this partnership will also deliver mutual benefit in improving both universities graduates quality as well as growing ties between the two friendly countries, Indonesia-Thailand.” He stated During the meeting, on behalf of Islamic University of Indonesia, Risdiyono, S.T., M.Eng, delivered an overview concerning possible area of collaboration betweentwo universities. "The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signedtoday will become umbrella covering all possible collaborations between the two parties. In order to have a quick real implementation of the MoU, Faculty of Industrial Technology and Faculty of Technical Education RMUTT have had an initial discussion to draft Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at the faculty level on February 20, 2012 at meeting room FTI UII." He said
According to him, issues related to the general policies and procedures for student exchange and dual degree program as well as curriculum overview were the main topics of the discussion. The signing of the MoA will be arranged soon after the draft is completed.
“Both universities also provides partial scholarship. The students will get a year’s free tuition fee and free accomodation expenses.” Risdiyanto added. Director of Directorate of Marketing Collaboration and Alumni Affair, Islamic University of Indonesia, Fitri Nugraheni, S.T, M.T, Ph.D, also said that after the signing of MoU, students from both international program and regular program at the Faculty of Industrial Technology have the same opportunity to take dual degree program or student exchange in conjuction with Rajamanggala University of Technologi Thanyaburi. “For the next phase, these dual degree and student exchange programs will be developed with other faculties and departments.” She uttered. Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), located at Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok Road, Tambon Klong Hok, Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Thailand, presently has 10 faculties and one college (Thai Traditional Medicine College) which are responsible for offering four levels of educational programs in various disciplines: diploma programs in vocational education, Bachelor’s Degree, Master's Degree and Doctor's Degree programs. |
