This training, upholding a theme “Building an Inter-Institutional Synergy at UII community.”, featured dr. Farhan Ali Rahman, M.Kes, who speak about ‘creating a stronger Da’wah community’ and Rina Mulyati, S.Psi M.Psi, explaining about ‘Conflict Management’. This discussion was moderated by Nurul Hakki. Dr. Farhan asked the participants to keep their spirit alive when giving Da’wah, though there are many obstacles. The students who become Muslim activist have to manage their time wisely since they exhaust a great effort and their energies in ‘doing Da’wah’. “Moreover, society needs real actions and humanistic Da’wah movement conducted by academic community such as university students.” he added. The key to create a stronger Da’wah community is “TEAM’ which stands for “Togetherness”, “Everyone”, “Achieve”, and “More”. In other word, if every individual in an organization can work together, they will achieve outstanding result. “If two people can work together well, then they will reach their maximum target”. He added. He also mentioned tips and steps in creating a stronger da’wah community. By implementing the 7 component of ‘SINERGI’ (Silaturahmi or hospitality, Initiation, Negotiator and Nice Sight, Empathy, Regeneration, Grouping, Imamah or leadership, the purpose of Dakwah will be reached. Conflict Management Conflict is part of life, and it is perhaps inevitable in the Da’wah community. Conflict occurs when individuals are not obtaining what they need or want (different opinion) and are seeking their own self-interest. This statement was revealed by Rina Mulyani, S.Psi MPsi.
She urged that the conflict should be managed properly. According to her, unresolved conflict may affect the atmosphere in the team. It creates a distrustful team environment. However, conflict can improve problem identification and enhance team development. Rina Mulyani who is also Lecture of Psychology Department UII stressed out that conflict should be managed properly by recognizing the different type of conflict and identifying causes of conflict. “When managed properly, conflict can result in benefits for Da’wah community.” She added. |
