The 2nd Muslim Kids Jamboree was officially opened by UII Vice Rector III, Ir. Bachnas, M.Sc., In his opening remark, he expressed his appreciation for the event which aims to encourage Muslim kids to become clever students and ‘good children’. He asked the participant to obey their parents and to be kind to their friends.
According to head of FIAI Islamic student organization Syaifulloh Yusuf, this event which was expected to motivate others Islamic student organization at UII conducting this similar event was actually held to commemorate Maulid of Prophet Muhammad SAW year 1433 Hijriyah. Islamic Students Organization at Faculty of Islamic Studies (FIAI) UII held the 2nd Muslim Kids Jamboree on Sunday (02/26) at FIAI building, UII main campus. This event was participated by 250 students of Qur’an learning center at Yogyakarta region. The participants actively took part in many competitions including drawing competition, da’i cilik competition, Qur’an reading competition, Islamic quiz competition, and Islamic poetry competition.
