The number of S-1 freshgraduates in Indonesia always increace every years but not yet keep pace with workfield avability. Thus, it cause the increasing number of educated unemployed people. The issue of unemployment among university graduates is also caused by the lack of the resources for finding the company that has the job that is available. This statement was made by Head of Alumni Manpower Division, Ir. Bambang Sulistiono, MSCE., at Rektorate Building GBPH Prabuningrat UII, on Monday (3/5).

According to National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS) survey, the unemployment rate in Indonesia was last reported at 4,1 million people or about 22, 2 percent of the total number of the labour force as much as 21,2 million people. Almost of the unemployed are people with higher education including diploma and bachelor degree.

For this reason, Alumni Career Center (ACC) Islamic University of Indonesia in collaboration with JobsDB.com will hold Campus Hiring on March 7-8, 2011 at Auditorium Kahar Mudzakir, UII main campus. This event, which involves 22 prominent companies in Indonesia, is expected to provides opportunities to the companies to hire talented students. For the job seeker, this event will provides a smooth path to get better job.  

UII Rector, Prof. Dr. H. Edy Suandi Hamid, M. Ec., will officially open the Campus Hiring on March 7th, 2012. Then, the job recruitment process will be conducted at 10 a.m until 04.00 p.m. In addition, Ir. Bambang Sulistiono, MSCE. urged the fresh graduates and the jobseeker to prepare their CV along with other documents and attend at UII Campus Hiring.
