On Saturday (3/3), Accounting Department student community (HMJA) UII hosted Seminar on Forensic Auditing entitled The Role of Forensic Auditing of Fraud Cases for Financial Reporting’. The seminar which concludes with a panel discussion was officially opened by Faculty of Economics Dean, Prof. Dr. Hadri Kusuma, MBA.

Located at Sahid Raya Hotel Yogyakarta, this event was attended by 160 audiences including university students and practitioners from Yogyakarta, Central Java, and West Java. Also attending as the speaker were Head of Prevention Department Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Budi Santosa, Senior Manager KAP Ernst & Young, Forensic Investigation Specialist Alexander Sianturi, M.For.Acc, CFE, and UII accounting department lecturer, Dr. Hendi Yogi Prabowo, M.For.Acc.

As told by Alfian Annadlori who acts as head of committee of this program, the objective of this seminar was to promote an understanding about the role of forensic auditing of fraud cases for financial reporting.

Dr. Hendi Yogi Prabowo presented the first session on the introduction of forensic auditing which aim to deliver an overview of forensic auditing before entering panel discussion. Besides, Alexander Sianturi, M.For.Acc, CFE and Budi Santosa who hosts the panel discussion session explained about detecting financial statement fraud.
