This ESQ training aimed at motivating the students to find the precious meaning of studying process. Meanwhile, in this globalization era, moral problems were becoming more complex. Recently, Juvenile delinquencies were becoming a social problem that cannot be solved entirely. Thus, this event was also conducted to promote the best solution of this problem. Ir. Bachnas, MSc, in his opening speech mentioned that, this ESQ training was expected to equip UII students with valuable knowledge which can be implemented after graduating from university. In addition, this training was an effort to nurture idealistic and committed scholar with high level of competence. On the other hand, in order to produce highly competitive graduates, mastering and practicing science and Islamic values, UII also organizes spiritual building program including Pesantrenisasi (Islamic boarding school program), and many others. Meanwhile, UII Rector, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi, M.Ec, while visiting this training mentioned his appreciation with this program. “This ESQ training was a great opportunity for UII students, since there are still small numbers of university students who have a chance joining ESQ training” said Rector. Similar with Ir. Bachnas’s statement, Prof. Edy Suandi Hamid, ESQ training program was to guide the students to be honest and discipline as well as to create visionary students as our future leaders. Indeed, by joining this program, the students were expected to practice the ESQ value in their everyday life. |
