FPSB UII-Saxonia University Discuss Collaboration Opportunities E-mail

ImageTo strengthen the establishment of a networking toward World Class University, FPSB (Faculty of Psychology and Socio-Cultural Sciences) held academic collaboration along with overseas university. For instance, the collaboration has been conducted by Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) and Leipzig University Germany since 2010. Currently, FPSB tried to work together with Saxonia University Germany.

Located at VIP Room, UII Rectorate building, Dr. Habil Marcus Stueck, the delegation of Saxionia University, On Tuesday (3/27) who visits UII to discuss further academic collaboration was warmly welcomed by UII Vice Rector I Nandang Sutrisno, SH LLM MHum PhD. Also attending in this occasion were Vice Rector III, Ir Bachnas, MSc., Dean of FPSB Sus Budiharto, SPsi. MSi. Psi., FPSB Vice Dean Rr. Indah Ria Sulistyarini, SPsi MA Psi, Head of Psychology Department Yulianti Dwi Astuti, SPsi MSoc Sc and Head of Student Affair Division (DPBMKM UII) Dian Sari Utami, SPsi MA.

In this occasion, Ir. Bachnas, MSc., offered possible collaboration program including student and staff exchange, joint research, international seminar & workshop, and others. “The academic collaboration can be taken the form of field study which can deliver many advantages for foreign students to learn Indonesian culture and to take part in community service. Hence, it is essential to have an umbrella to cover this collaboration plan by setting a Memorandum of Understanding and Memorandum of Agreement.” He uttered.  

Meanwhile, Dr Habil Marcus Stueck who is also lecturer at Institute for Psychology, Faculty of Biosciences, Pharmacy, and Psychology Leipzig University stated that this meeting was great opportunity to discuss future collaboration between two parties. He also promised to discuss this collaboration plan along with his institution so that this partnership program can be implemented soon.

In addition, the two parties agree to conduct MoU and MoA signing which will be held next 6 weeks after this meeting. The MoA will stipulate several collaboration plan including student and staff exchange, dissertation supervision.

Dean of FPSB, Sus Budiharto, SPsi. MSi. Psi., said further that FPSB UII also has agreement with Psychology Faculty of Leipzig University since 2010. Along with Leipzig University, FPSB UII organized International Seminar on “Neuropsychological Rehabilitation of Memory Disorders” featuring Prof. Evelin Witruk as the keynote speaker on March 23-24. In addition, FPSB UII also hosted Workshop entitled ‘School of Empathy’ on March 24-25 featuring Dr. Habil. Marcus Stueck.
