UII Organizes Graduation Ceremony (Batch IV) E-mail

ImageLocated at Kahar Mudzakkir Auditorium, UII main campus, Universitas Islam Indonesia organized graduation ceremony batch IV academic year 2011/2012.  There were 639 students from undergraduate program, master program, and post graduates program, as well as diploma program which on Saturday (31/3), was confirmed as graduates.

There were 168 graduates with cum laude predicate and Setia Agung Laksono from Faculty of Law obtained highest GPA of 3,99 who also deserve to achieve ‘UII gold pin’. Besides, as many as 416 graduates finished their study on time. Hutomo Prabowo Putro, the student of accounting program from International program, Economics Faculty finished his study for 3 years and five months.

In his remarks, UII Rector, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec expected that the academic achievement obtained by UII graduates can be useful to achieve their goal to better future. In addition, the UII graduates were also urged to always maintain the alma mater good name among the society. “UII graduates have to build up your future carrier by implementing their knowledge and competence for the sake of their dreams and to deliver real contributions in society, country, and religion.” He emphasized.

Still according to Rector, the graduation ceremony signified that UII graduates have finished their learning process at university. However, it also means that they would begin their new learning process in society which there will be many tight evaluations and tight competitions. “Entering into the real society, the new scholar will interact and socialize with various communities with different culture, religions, and characters.” Rector said.

In addition, Rector also highlighted the recent university’s attainments including academic collaboration with overseas universities to enhance its graduates by giving opportunity to study abroad as well as pursue their future carrier at foreign country. Currently, UII has also been working together with several institutions including Saxion University of Applied Sciences, University of  Twente, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, and  Rajamanggala University of Technologi Thanyaburi, Thailand.

Meanwhile, this gradation ceremony was attended by UII alumnae who hold important positions in government including Suparman Marzuki (Head of Judges Supervisory and Investigation Division of Judicial Commission) and also Erwin Moeslimin Singajuru, the member of Indonesian House of Representative.
