UII Commits to Nurture Scholar with Good Ethical Conduct E-mail

ImageUniversitas Islam Indonesia is one of universities in Indonesia who has made their commitment to nurture scholars with good ethical conduct, having excellences in intellectual, spiritual, and social quotient. Hence, it is expected that UII graduates have to improve this three aspects.

This statement was revealed by Erwin Moeslimin Singajuru, the member of Indonesian House of Representative (DPR-RI) who is also UII alumnae while delivering his remarks at UII Graduation ceremony held on Saturday (3/31) at Kahar Mudzakkir Auditorium, UII main campus.

He further said that the process of finding self-identity is different among each other. According to him, students who were used to be active in student organization at university have a special excellences rather than students who never join student organization. He also mentioned UII graduates must enhance their competence and personality with honesty in order to establish Indonesia as civilized country.

“The first thing to do is that we have to conduct goodwill and avoid being useless.” He uttered. This point is important to deal with the globalization era. Still according to Erwin, the ongoing globalization process today is causing many changes in several aspect of life. Thus, the UII graduates must to deal with every opportunity and challenge which is widely spreading out in our society today. For example, there are many new occupation and jobs offered today.

Furthermore, he described three stage of life. The first stage was the time when we were born, then grown-up, and studied at school. Besides, the second stage was the time when we work and earn money to fulfill our needs. The last stage was the time when we become old and retired from job.
