Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) has taken an important step towards World Class University. This effort was marked by establishing partnership agreement between UII and Girni American University (GAU), North Cyprus. The signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was conducted by UII Rector, Prof Dr Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec and Vice Chancellor Girne American University, Mr. Asim Vehbi.

As told by Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec, when was meet in his office at GBPH Prabuningrat Rectorate Building, on Wednesday (5/2), several collaboration program would be taken the form of staff exchange and collaboration, joint research activities and publication, as well as student exchange. In addition, both parties are going to work together to encourage continuing education and professional development for professors, lectures and academic staff.

Rector also expected that in the future lecturers at UII will be able to publish their scientific papers in international journals easily. “Hopefully, student exchange program will promote students to gain many experiences studying at overseas university before graduating from university." He emphasized.
