ADMIRAL UNISI 09 teams consisting of five students of Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) UII, generation 2009 has successfully won runner up at Indonesian Robotic Contest (KRCI) 2012, Humanoid Soccer Division Regional III taking place at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro Semarang, on Saturday - Monday (4/26-28). They were Muhammad Fatakhurrazaq (Programming, Mechanical Engineering), Novian Mahardika Putra (Programming, Informatics Department), Agung Dedi Pratama (Programming, Mechanical Engineering), Ahmad Martin Dagdo Subroto (Designer/system, Mechanical Engineering), Risma Arohcayana (Designer/system, Mechanical Engineering) featured two robots.

This robotic competition was participated by eight teams divided into two groups. Group A consisted of AL FAROBI (UGM), AL-AADIYAT (UNY), ADMIRAL UNISI 09 (UII), and ACCRETIA (UDINUS). Besides, R2C-R7 (Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana), FUTBOLISTA-RDC (UAD), POLI-REVO H.1 (Politeknik Negeri Semarang) and Robo Green (Universitas Negeri Semarang) were included in Group B.

AL FAROBI (UGM) and R2C-R7 (UKSW) named as the first winner from Group A and Group B. Besides, ADMIRAL UNISI 09 (UII) and POLI-REVO H.1 (POLINES) were awarded as Runner Up from Group A and Group B. In final match, ADMIRAL UNISI 09 competed with AL FAROBI (UGM). Unfortunately, ADMIRAL UNISI 09 must be willing to obtain runner-up position. “We feel so disappointed when our team loses by 1 point in penalty round.” As told by Ahmad Martin, member of ADMIRAL UNISI 09 team.

However, ADMIRAL UNISI 09 team under the supervision of Tri Setia Putra S.T,M.Eng (Lecturer at Faculty of Industrial Technology) was very proud of this achievement. According to Novian, KRCI 2012 Regional III was the most prestigious robotic competition as our path toward national and international robotic contest. "We are proud to take part in this regional robotic competition and also very impressed when meet great rivals. We have done our best.” He said.

Becoming runner up at KRCI Humanoid Soccer Division for Central Java and Yogyakarta region, ADMIRAL UNISI 09 got a chance to take part in KCRI national level which would be take place at ITB Bandung. "The struggle is not over yet! We want to upgrade our robot parts. Hopefully, we are able to reach as the first winner ".

Meanwhile, ADMIRAL UNISI 09 team accompanied by their supervisor including Tri Setia Putra S.T., M.Eng. and Dr Izzati Muhimmah, ST., M.Sc., was warmly welcomed by UII Vice Rector III, Ir. Bachnas, MSc., on Wednesday (5/2) at GBPH Prabuningrat Building UII. In this occasion, Ir. Bachnas delivered his positive appreciation for this achievement and also encouraged them to have confidence and never give up. "On behalf of UII leaders, we are really proud of all your achievement. But we have to improve our creativity and performance to compete to be the champion." He emphasized.
