UII Student Wins the Most Outstanding Student Kopertis V Award

The selection of most outstanding student award at Kopertis V (Indonesian Private University Coordinator, Yogyakarta region) was held on Tuesday (5/22). In this competition, UII was represented by Puguh Winanto, students of Faculty of Law students. He who is also one of student of UII Islamic boarding school (2008 generation) became the 1^st winner as the most outstanding student.

Puguh has passed several selection process of outstanding student at UII level as well as at Kopertis V level. He successfully defeated contestants from other private universities at Yogyakarta. Puguh named first winner with 90 points. UAD was the runner up with 88 points. Also the 3^rd winner was UPN with 77 points.

Director of Directorate of Talents, Interests, and Student Welfare, Drs. AF. Djunaidi, M.Ag revealed that becoming the 1^st winner at Kopertis V level, UII could participate in outstanding student award at national level. According to him, this attainment was great opportunity to maintain UII academic achievement. “During several years, our university never stops sending our student to take part in this competition, we do hope the 2012 most outstanding student competition brings UII as the winner." he said.

Drs. AF. Djunaidi said further that this competition was a prestigious activity to measure student’s achievement in scientific activities, student organization activity, and intra and extra-curricular activities. Through this competition, students were expected not only to broaden his knowledge but also to develop their personality to become future leader.
