Welcoming seven students of Fakulti Syariah dan Undang-Undang (Faculty of Sharia and Law) USIM, Rector explained brief history of UII as the oldest university in Indonesia which has contributed to nurture influential figures in Indonesia. On this occasion, 7 USIM students also asked several questions to Rector about any opportunities to pursue master degree at UII.

According to Rector, UII provides an opportunity for foreign students who want to pursue postgraduate at UII.

"Both domestic and foreign students can attend to study at UII. However, up until now, UII is still unable to provide scholarships for foreign students who want to continue their postgraduate study at UII because our university still depends on Directorate General of Higher Education’s policy regarding this matter.” Rector emphasized.

Prof. Edy expected both universities can strengthen its cooperation through student exchange program by sending USIM students to study at UII and vice versa.
