Improvement to the journals accreditation at UII was encouraged. UII through Planning Board (BP),organized a workshop on journal accreditation and the preparation of scientific journals writing on Thursday (6/21) in 4th floor Rectorate building UII. The workshop participants were the representatives of scientific journals editor at UII.

UII Vice Rector I, Nandang Sutrisno, SH, MH, LLM, Ph.D said that UII commits to foster UII’s scientific journals publication to attain better accreditation. This effort is conducted to meet Education Minister Regulation No. 22/2011 regarding Scientific Periodical Journal.

However, He who also serves as lecturer at  Faculty of Law UII objected Directorate General of Higher Education circular No.152/E/T/2012 that forces university graduates to publish their scientific work in journal. He considered this regulation need further study, however, the focus of this workshop was only to enhance the accreditation of any scientific journal at UII.

This workshop featured Prof. Ir. Wasmen Manalu,Ph.D, Profesor of Anatomy Department, Physiology and Pharmacology, Faculty of Veterinary IPB. Prof. Wasmen said that the main points how to manage journal accreditation includes editorial board, advisory board, peer reviewers, and also the authors.
