| Walkathon Enlivens 69th UII Dies Natalis |

Participants joined mass gymnastics and ESQ greeting before starting the walkathon. UII Rector, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec, a couple minutes before starting the walkathon, flew balloon to the sky. The route for the walkathon was 4.5 km through the neighborhood surrounding UII campus (Lohdadi-Degolan-Krawitan-Kimpulan). The walkathon was officially opened by Chairman of Indonesian Constitutional Court, Prof. Moh. Mahfud MD who is also alumni and lecturer at UII. Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) deputy chairman, M. Busjro Muqoddas, S.H, M.Hum also attended this walkathon. Rector said that UII walkathon is routine agenda celebrating UII anniversary as an expression inner gratitude to Allah SWT for all sorts of favor granted so that UII continues to experience growth. According to him, this activity can create a more harmonious atmosphere among UII academic society and their families. Prof. Edy mentioned that there were many UII’s partners who have contributed by providing many prizes for participants in this activity. It was indicated that many of parties support and help UII to grow better. The annual walkathon ended at UII sport center. Inside the sport center, many dozens of door prizes were provided by sponsor such as five motorcycles, refrigerators, TV, mountain bikes, washing machines, mobile phone, fan, gas stoves, and many others. Commemorating the 69th anniversary, UII organized walkathon on Sunday (6/24) starting from the front of Faculty of Psychology and Socio Cultural Studies (FPSB) building. More than a thousand participants including academic society of UII and their families participated in this activity.
