A character is essential for every individual, especially for well-educated person. Knowledge without character will bring disaster. It can then cause evil, wickedness. Moreover, knowledge without humanity and religious values can be misused for destructive purposes.

This statement was revealed by Ustadz Wijayanto delivering his religious speech at ‘Pengajian Akbar commemorating 69^th UII Anniversary’ on Saturday (6/23) at Kahar Muzakkir Auditorium UII.

This event entitled ‘Building Student’s Character Becoming Scholar with Good Ethical Conduct’. In his speech, Ust. Wijayanto explained further about mental entity and personal character building.

Wijayanto said that good character can be easily reflected by respecting your neighbors and guests. As told by Prophet Muhammad SAW that Muslims are encouraged to treat their neighbors and guests kindly.

This event lasted well and was attended by UII students as well as inhabitant surrounding UII campus. After Pengajian (Religious Speech), the committee of this event delivered dozens of door prizes to the participants.
