| Celebrating 69th Anniversary, UII Holds Mass Circumcision |

"This annual event is a social responsibility activity organized by UII and also as an attempt implementing UII mission to spread out Islamic Dakwah Activity that stated on UII’s Role (Catur Dharma UII). As we know that circumcision is a religious obligation for men ". As told by Rector According to Rector, UII has hosted several social activities to commemorate 69th UII Dies Natalis such as social service, free medical service, walkathon, and others. In addition, UII in collaboration with UII Alumnae Association (IKA UII) will hold Fun Bike on July 8th 2012. Bank Syariah Mandiri Yogyakarta Branch, Rumah Sehat Baznas Metro TV along with other sponsors have helped UII to realize the mass circumcision activity. Director of Bank Syariah Mandiri Yogyakarta Branch, Edi Dwi Efendi, also stated that his party has several corporate social responsibility programs by delivering community health service and supporting the development of financial product. Meanwhile, Director of Rumah Sehat Baznas Metro TV expressed his gratitude to UII who is willing to collaborate with his organization to hold mass circumcision social activity. "We do expect, there are many benefits that can be obtained through the implementation of this social activity.” He uttered
On the same occasion, Dean of Faculty of Medicine UII, dr. Faculty of Medicine Auditorium UII on Thursday (6/28) in the morning was filed with young boys with their parents. 136 children who live around UII participated in mass circumcision organized by Faculty of Medicine UII in conjunction with 69th UII Dies Natalis. This social activity is conducted to deliver social service to inhabitant around the campus.
