UII again obtained national achievement at the 3^rd Indonesia Green Awards 2012. This event was organized by La Tofi School of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and supported by Ministry of Forestry and Ministry of Industry. UII successfully got award for Green Campus category. Minister of Forestry Zulkifli Hasan gave the award to UII Vice Rector II Dra. Neni Meidawati, M.Sc., Ak., on Tuesday (7/10) at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta.

According to Chairman of La Tofi School of CSR who also serves as judges of Green Awards 2012, the main objective of this green award is to appreciate certain parties that have conducted green awareness programs in their environment and society.

The 3^rd Green Award 2012 upholding a theme 'Green for Prosperity' includes new three categories award namely Green School, Green Campus and Green Local Hero. UII named in green campus category since this institution is considered having commitment in developing environmental sustainability. Meanwhile, three other universities including UMY, UBAYA, and Universitas Mercu Buana also attained Green Campus Award.

Dra. Neni Meidawati, M.Sc., Ak., accompanied by Head of Information Management and Database Division, Planning Broad UII, Fitra Roman Cahaya, SE, M.Com, PhD, said that this achievement becomes encouragement   to put more focus on environmental issues 2013. She is optimistic that UII will always aware on green issue, because UII not only has environmental experts but also natural campus forest.
