Directorate of Research and Community Service, Universitas Islam Indonesia (DPPM UII) proves its commitment to support UII in creating well-educated entrepreneurs toward Entrepreneurial University. From this reason, On Friday, June 13, DPPM organized Workshop on UII Institutional Capacity Building to Support Entrepreneurship. The objective of this workshop was to enhance UII institutional capacity to develop entrepreneurship education.

"This workshop also aims at creating well-educated entrepreneur." As told by Drs. Suhartini, M.Si who serves as head of committee of the workshop.

DPPM UII in collaboration with PT. Pegadaian have made several attempts stimulating UII students to engage in entrepreneurship and become young entrepreneur. Both parties have conducted entrepreneurship project design and proposal writing workshop. The selected proposals deserve getting financial capital to run the business. "There were 32 proposals deserve obtaining financial fund.” She said

Meanwhile, UII Vice Rector III, Ir. Bachnas, M.Sc mentioned that UII has received many supports from various institutions, especially from Bank. Therefore, it was expected that all institutions that have special concern on student’s development are able to synergize in developing entrepreneurship education and creating young entrepreneur optimally.

Ir. Bachnas, M.Sc also urged all of study programs at UII to provide portion for entrepreneurship education that prioritize Islamic values. "The high moral values ​​that must be owned by entrepreneurs are honesty, creativity, social awareness, and low self-esteem". He concluded

This workshop that was held at Auditorium of Faculty of Economics UII featured keynote speakers, including Ade Harsono, SE (Manager CSR PT. Pegadaian, Jakarta), Drs. Allwar, M.Si.,Ph.D (UII Lecturer), dan Dr.-Ing. Ir. Widodo, M.Sc (Director DPPM UII).
