Student’s Participation Playing Role in Success of UII E-mail

ImageStudent’s contribution actualized through student organization becomes one of significant attempt in gaining university’s success. Several achievement obtained by Universitas Islam Indonesia can not be separated from contributions of several parties including lecturer, alumnae and students itself.

"It becomes our pride for knowing that our university becoming one of top universities in Indonesia.” As said by UII Rector, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec, giving his opening remark at break fasting together along with the member of Student Executive Board (LEM) and Student Consultative Council (DPM) UII, on Monday (23/7). Also in attendance in this event were Vice Rector I, Nandang Sutrisno, SH., MH., LLM., PhD, Vice Rector III, Ir. Bachnas, M.Sc, Director of Student Affairs UII, Drs. AF Djunaidi, M.Ag, and Head of Student’s Talent&Interests Division, Dr. Alwar.

In his speech, Prof.. Edy stated that students should possess high self-confidence and sense of pride to this university by showing critical ideas through academic research and others. Thus, UII’s student will be recognized for their outstanding.

Rector said further that for long time ago, UII through its student organization has remarkable position in this country so that it must become example for today’s student organizations at UII in delivering such contributions in terms of academic and non-academic activity. In addition, student activist are also expected owning critical thinking, spirit of nation and social awareness.

"Being a student activist means making priority. Therefore, they are urged to deliver benefits for themselves, university and society." He emphasized
