Accounting Student UII Joins Student Exchange to South Korea E-mail

ImageAccounting student from regular program, Zalina Hayati, was accepted to join student exchange program fall 2012 Solbridge International School of Business South Korea. She will take a course in Solbrige International School of Business, Woosong University, for one semester and also learn Korean language and its culture. Moreover, Zalina has mission needs to introduce Indonesian culture richness and share about the life of Muslim student.

In the farewell event on Wednesday (8/8), UII Rector, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, MEc, accompanied by Vice Rector III, Ir Bahnas, MSI, Vice Dean of Faculty of Economics, Dra. Diana Wijayanti, MSI, Director of ERP Competence Center, Dra. Primanita Setyono, MBA, Ak., Head of Accounting Department, Dra Isti Rahayu, M.Sc. Ak and Secretary of Accounting Department Drs. Suwaldiman, MCom, Akt officially released Zalina at Rectorate Building.

Rector highly appreciated Zalina to join Student Exchange program at Solbridge Woosong University since this university has excellent reputation and strong management support with supportive learning environment.

"As long as I know that, the president of Woosong University, John E. Endicott was nominated for noble peace prize. It indicates that this university includes as one of well known university in the world.” Prof. Edy stated

Rector expected to Zalina on behalf student of UII to emulate the attitudes and work ethic of South Korea and build good fellowship among students and lecturers at Solbridge International School of Business.

In accordance with this program, Director of ERP Competence Center, Dra. Primanita Setyono, MBA, Ak., stated that students exchange program is good opportunity to gain great experiences knowing and sharing about cultural diversity all over the world.

On the same occasion, 2 students of Accounting department regular program, Adi Ginanjar Permana and Elma Nur Hikmah, who have participated at Students Exchange to Solbridge spring 2012 were welcomed also by Rector. According Ginanjar, he obtained many experiences enriching networking and cross-culture understanding by joining this program. Besides, Nur Hikmah Elma claimed that she learn to build cultural respect among other students from different countries.

Both of student also participated at Annual Together Day in Daejon Festival presenting Indonesian Culture.
