Doctor Urged to Attach IDI Logo Avoiding Illegal Medical Practice E-mail

ImageThe widespread of illegal medical practice in today’s society needs attention from medical workers to provide the right information about health care and services in community. This statement was confirmed by dr. Siti Aisyah Salam, SU, M.Kes (Treasurer of IDI Yogyakarta) in her speech at New doctor oath-taking ceremony, on Friday (9/14).

"To let people know about the registered medical practice, doctors are forced to attach IDI (Indonesian Medical Association) at their clinic." She urged

According to her, IDI is a professional organization that promote advocacy guide for medical worker in developing health services. Therefore, professional doctors are urged to uphold medical ethics and always on the right track.

Dean of Faculty of Medicine, dr. Isnatin Miladiyah, M.Kes also said in front of the 33 new doctors that they have to continually sharpen their medical skills in order to deal with the challenges relating illegal medical practice phenomenon on today’s society.

Recently, Faculty of Medicine UII obtained A grade for accreditation. It becomes outstanding achievement for Faculty of Medicine UII that has been established 11 years ago.

"Taking an oath as doctor is initial step to apply and expand medical knowledge by continuing professional development.” Isnatin emphasized

Meanwhile, UII Vice Rector for academic affair, Nandang Sutrisno, SH, LLM, M. Hum, PhD in his remark uttered that by having oath-taking, the 33 new doctors should conduct responsibility delivering medical service and promoting health awareness among the society. "Faculty of Medicine UII graduates are forced to organize health project to support Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Indonesia.” He added
