|Faculty of Law UII Wins Second Place in National Moot Court Competition|

UII MCC (Moot Court Competition) Team again craved remarkable achievement in the national moot court competition of criminal law. UII faculty of law team (FH UII team) became second winner in the competition which held by Moot Court Community Asian Law Students Association (MCC ALSA) Local Chapter Brawijaya University, Malang on 8-10 February 2013. MCC ALSA is one of the national moot court competitions of criminal law which held annually by ALSA National Chapter Indonesia.
The UII team leader, Taufik Akbar said not only successfully won the second place, some members of his team also swept many award in the competition included Best Judge, Best Legal Advisor, Best Court Clerk, and Best Case File.
Mahrus Ali, SH., MH as the team academic advisor said the FH UII team court cases sexual abuse crime and property right. In the final round UII must compete with other representatives from Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta. Mahrus explained UII is the only private university that participated in the competition.
“The competition was participated by 12 teams that the majority from state university in Indonesia such as Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Padjajaran, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Universitas Sebelas Maret and several other universities so UII is the only private university were invited” he said.
