Program Background

Indonesia has a population around 255 million based on the data of  the Indonesian Government’s Statistical Agency in 2016. The population size has been the fourth-largest population in the world after China, India and the United States. Because Indonesia is an archipelago country, the people live in different islands with a wide range of ethnic and cultural diversity. The big islands in Indonesia are Java, Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papua islands. However, the largest population live in Java island. In terms of religion, most of Indonesian population are Muslims which is approximately 87.2 % of the total population. The multicultural condition and the Moslem religion majority have created a unique situation in Indonesia that affect the way people conduct their business.

Program Objectives

This program is mainly designed to :

  • Improve knowledge and understanding of Islamic Business in Indonesia, as a country with a majority of Muslim population in the world, by experiencing and learning process designed in a series of activities such as lectures, discussions and visits to several organizations and historical sites;
  • Introduce Indonesia as a country that has hundreds of ethnic and cultural diversity, and Yogyakarta, as one of provinces in Indonesia, that is well-known as a cultural city; and
  • Introduce business potentials in Indonesia in general.

Program Fees & Application

PROGRAM FEES
The program fee includes the tuition fee, accommodation, meals, social programs and fieldtrips. However, the participants have to pay for the flight tickets and visa fees (if necessary).
