Global Recognition for Aspiring Doctor of Management

The Doctor of Management Study Program (PDIM) is a new home for the management concentration which was previously part of the Doctoral Program in Economics (PDIE), established since 6 July 2000. PDIM offers three concentrations: Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, and Financial Management. PDIM has qualified lecturers with a doctoral degree in the rank of associate professor and professor, who have qualified academic experiences and mostly have a portfolio of publications in reputable international journals.

PDIM offers a study period of 3 years supported by a compact curriculum focusing on the core field of management science. Through the Centre for Academic Excellence (CAE), PDIM equips students with customized soft-skills development since the day of entry to the day of completion. Through these various advantages and the support of soft-skills development, the graduates are expected to have “Well-Established Management Knowledge and Strong Character in Islamic Values”.

The graduates of PDIM have career opportunities to become a lecturer, researcher, and professional with the following graduate profile description:

    • Lecturer
      a lecturer with global and Islamic perspectives who has theoretical skills, develops management knowledge both academically and professionally, and has the innovation discipline as an agent of change.
    • Researcher
      a researcher who has global and Islamic perspectives, international competence, ability to communicate in international forums, multicultural discipline, and publication experiences in international scientific journals.
    • Professional
      a professional who is reliable, tough, leader-spirited, and highly capable of managing himself and the institution in accordance with the competencies based on Islamic values and global perspectives.
  • The required documents are:
    1. Identification card, such as an ID card or passport.
    2. Curriculum vitae.
    3. Recent color passport-sized photo.
    4. Original or authenticated copy of diploma/certificate of master’s degree (S2) or equivalent. Foreign graduates shall attach a diploma equivalency certificate issued by the directorate general of higher education.
    5. Original or authenticated copy of academic transcript with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of master’s degree being equivalent to at least 3.00.
    6. Certificate of valid English proficiency test (maximum 2 years from the date of issuance). Acceptable English proficiency tests:

      Internet-Based (iBT) TOEFL 45
      IELTS 5.0
      CEPT – CILACS UII 550 (Good User)
    7. Letters of recommendation from 2 (two) people who are considered capable of providing academic eligibility guarantees, e.g. thesis supervisors or work supervisors (Download the template at bit.ly/suratrekomendasimnj ).
    8. Certificate of Potential Academic Test.

  • Registration Procedures
    1. Online admission
      Prospective students create a NIU account and complete the personal data information through the link admisi.uii.ac.id.
    2. Log in to UIIAdmisi and pay the form
      Upon obtaining NIU, prospective students log in through admisi.uii.ac.id and pay at the designated bank.
    3. Complete the personal data information and required documents
      Prospective students complete the personal data information and attach the required documents for the selected study program through uii.id/pendaftaranPMD-mnj.
    4. Academic Potential Test, Psychotest, Presentation, and Interview. The administration staff of the Doctor of Management Study Program academic services of FBE UII will schedule the test and interview.
    5. Admission. Prospective students who pass the selection test will receive an official acceptance letter from the university.
    6. Payment of first installment

The Doctor of Management Study Program equips students with global experiences through the following activities:

    PDIM presents professors from partner universities abroad to provide insights into research and development of management science.

    Students of PDIM have the opportunity to participate in reputable international conferences as a medium to gain input and important suggestions for improving publication manuscripts.
  • Joint Publications
    Students of PDIM also have the opportunity to collaborate on scientific publications in reputable international journals with overseas academic partners.
