Master of Family Law Study Program

Global Recognition for Aspiring Academics, Practitioners, and Professionals in Family Law

Established based on the Decree of the Minister of Religion No. 289 of 2025 and the Letter of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) No.186/BAN-PT/LL/2025. This program is designed to answer the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 by integrating the science of family law based on turats (classical Islamic science heritage) and Indonesian local genius. The Master of Family Law Study Program aims to produce graduates who have interdisciplinary insights, Indonesian character, and Islamic values. This program also responds to market demands and inequality in the number of Bachelor (S1) and Master (S2) of Family Law study programs in Indonesia.

The curriculum of the Master of Family Law of UII emphasizes mastery of the theory and practice of family law, including such contemporary issues as child protection, gender equality in a household, and the dynamics of marriage law and inheritance law from national and Islamic perspectives. The learning is supported by lecturers and experts who have experiences in family law, both academically and practically. Therefore, the graduates are expected to be able to make a real contribution to solving family law problems in society.

  • Family law practitioners: judge, lawyer, legal consultant, family mediator.
  • Academics and researchers: lecturer, writer, educational content creator.
  • Sociopreneurs: social activist, defender of women’s and children’s rights, activist of religious institutions and civil society.
  • This study program also supports the career of civil servants in the functional position of legal analyst and opens opportunities for further studies for judges of Religious Court through cooperation with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia.
  • Admission requirements:
    1. Scan of authentic bachelor’s diploma/certificate
    2. Scan of academic transcript (minimum GPA of 3.00)
    3. Scan of employee appointment decree (for employees)
    4. Scan of study permit from the employer (for employees)
    5. Scan of ID card, birth certificate, and family card
    6. Scan of a 4 x 6 sized, blue background photo

  • Registration Procedures:
    1. Prospective students open the page  admisi.uii.ac.id.
    2. Select the study program (Master of Family Law)
    3. Create a NIU (primary identification number)
    4. Purchase and pay for the form of IDR 500,000
    5. Confirm the registration via WhatsApp to 0813-9110-1212
    6. Complete the data and upload the registration files (all files are converted to Pdf as 1 file)
    7. Check the selection results
    8. Register after being admitted
