Architect Professional Program

Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning

Architect Profession Program (PPAr), Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning UII is designed based on an education curriculum integrated with the professional world and in line with architecture education system of international standard. In Curriculum here refers to Stratum 1 curriculum, so overall it will be in 4+1 (Bachelor+Profession) format. Strong cooperation with Indonesian Institute of Architects Yogyakarta Special Region (IAI) No.39/Dek-10/FTSP/I/2017 and No.008/MOU/IAI.DIY/23.01.2017 making this education a part of the process in getting professional architect legitimacy by IAI. This 5-year education program is the architecture education system of Architecture Major of UII, equivalent to the international profession education system. This Study Program has received an international accreditation through Korea Architectural Accrediting Board (KAAB) and Superior accreditation Decree of BAN-PT No.3522/SK/BAN-PT/Akred-Itnl/PP/VI/2020.

Architect Professional Program of Universitas Islam Indonesia develops architecture learning pattern with reinforcement on the ability to achieve Architect competence as designed by the Union Internationale Architect (UIA) and IAI as the parent organization of architect profession in Indonesia. We engage professional Architects from IAI to bring real project cases for PPAr students to learn and prepare themselves in participating in the Competence Examination by institutes approved by the nation. Accordingly, PPAr study program graduates will get an Architect academic title (candidate), become a professional IAI member, and get an Architect Certificate of Competence.Graduates will be ready to work as an Architect with a limited capacity and ready to work with Mentor Architects from IAI for 2 (two) years to perfect their competence as an Independent Professional Architect.

UII Architect Professional Program teaches graduates to have:

  1. Communication skills as well as excellent, critical, and adaptive architectural knowledge.
  2. Comprehensive designing skills on construction building scale.
  3. Knowledge on construction science and technology based on environment sustainability.
  4. Sensitivity to environmental and socio-cultural contexts and marginal groups
  5. Skills and professional ethics based on universal and Islamic values.

Registration Requirements:

  1. Graduated from Architecture Major Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning of Universitas Islam Indonesia
  2. Graduated form Architecture Major* (if quota is fulfilled)
  3. Legalized Diploma and Transcript
  4. Minimum Average Grade of B for Designing studio
  5. Minimum Grade Point Average (IPK) of 3.00
  6. Proof of English Proficiency TOEFL/IELTS/ CEPT with minimum score of 425
  7. A Copy of Identity Card (KTP)
  8. Newest Passport Photo with a dark blue background (UII blue)
  9. Recommendations from 2 people (student should have the agreement from the people giving the recommendations)
  10. Portfolio

New Students Admission Procedure:

Files to upload :

  • Newest Passport Photo (dark blue background CMYK :100/99/1/0)
  • Photo of Identity Card
  • Legalized copy of Stratum 1 Diploma*
  • Legalized copy of transcript from Architecture Stratum 1*
  • Proof of English proficiency*
  • Attach the names of people giving recommendations (2 people) which will be contacted by the secretariat
  1. Applicant must include the contact information that can be reached by the committee.
  2. Applicant does the Psychological Test and Interview
  3. Result Announcement

Students who are announced as accepted must do the re-registration and may lose their rights as new students if they fail to register themselves following the specified schedule.

Process :

  • Pay for Installment 1
  • For those who already have one, please enter the NIU and password
  • Enter the Main Registration Number (NIU) , by “making an account” by preparing the scans of Identity Card / Driving License / Family Register and formal photo file, each with maximum size of 2MB and in JPEG/JPG/PNG format.

  • Purchase the student selection form by selecting purchase Online Test form
  • Choose Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning and Architect Profession

Tuition Fee in PPAR of Rp20,000,000 (Twenty Million Rupiah) which is paid in 4 (four) installments.With details as follows  :

Installment 1 (re-registration) Rp10,000,000
Installment 2 Rp   5,000,000
Installment 3 Rp   2,500,000
Installment 4 Rp   2,500,000

Non-UII applicants must pay for matriculation fee of Rp6,700,00 (Six Million and Seven Hundred Thousand Rupiahs).

**The fee mentioned above does not include IAI membership fee, Upgrading Fee, and Competence Examination Fee.
