Shaping The Next Information Technology Solution Enablers

The Undergraduate Program in Informatics (accredited “A”) at Universitas Islam Indonesia strives to shape Information Technology (IT) solution enablers that are equipped with the qualities of value-based leaders, entrepreneurs, long-life learners, and benefiting others. In the first three years, students develop their skills so that they are capable of acting as system analysts, IT designers, and developers. In the fourth year, students take study paths of their choices: research, community service, business start-up, internships, or study abroad.

Curriculum 2020 allows students to learn outside the program, either inside or outside UII, including studying abroad. The program has established partnerships with a number of foreign universities in various activities. Detailed information is in the Global Mobility Program section.

Students can follow the undergraduate-and-master acceleration path that can be completed in 5 years. The main areas of competencies in the undergraduate program are theoretical informatics and intelligent systems, data science, information systems, software engineering, computer networks and security, multimedia and computer vision, and medical informatics. In the master program, those competencies are oriented towards certain application domains: Data Science, Enterprise Information Systems, Digital Forensics, and Medical Informatics.

This program is supported by several laboratories: Basic Programming, Advanced Programming, Data and Communication, and Research, and a training center named IT Centrum that offers international certifications from Cisco, Oracle and EC-Council.

Graduates of this program can have careers as system analysts, designers, and developers on various IT platforms (web and mobile). Specifically, the graduates can work as web developers, mobile application developers, software engineers, data engineers, data analysts, security analysts, IT project managers, database administrators, network administrators, systems administrators, and IT consultants at various government agencies, state-owned companies, national or multinational private companies, or as entrepreneurs in IT startups.

Registration & Selection
The New Student Admission (PMB) at Universitas Islam Indonesia for Undergraduate (S1) and Diploma (D3) Programs is held in four selection patterns, i.e.: Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper Based Test (PBT), Honors Student Appraisal (PSB), and Quran Hafiz Appraisal (PHA).

INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM (IP)
The following requirement is specifically relevant to Applicants of International Program who register via the PSB and PHA selection patterns. They are required to submit their English proficiency test results, such as CEPT from CILACS UII (minimum score of 475), TOEFL®ITP (470), TOEFL iBT (52), or IELTS (5.5).

The estimated cost of tuition and fees for Undergraduate (S1) and Diploma (D3) programs for UII New Student Admission for the Academic Year of 2022/2023 can be downloaded through the link available on this page.

The table of estimated cost of tuition and fees contains information regarding the estimated cost components with the following notes:

  1. The estimated minimum cost is calculated based on the lowest value of the Catur Dharma Fee in the related study program, and added with the Tuition (Sumbangan Pembinaan Pendidikan/SPP) value in the relevant study program.
  2. The estimated maximum cost is calculated based on the highest value of the Catur Dharma Fee in the related study program, and added with the Tuition (Sumbangan Pembinaan Pendidikan/SPP) value in the relevant study program.
  3. The Catur Dharma Amount appears on the table shall not be applicable to applicants who applied through the Independent PBT selection pattern.
  4. Study Term Prediction for Non-exact and Exact Sciences are respectively 3.5 and 4 years.
  5. Tuition (SPP) is payable annually in 4 installments.
  6. For Undergraduate Study Programs (S1), the estimated tuition fees do not include fees for KKN (student community service), Undergraduate Thesis, and Thesis Defense.
  7. For Diploma Study Programs (D3), the estimated tuition fees do not include Fees for Diploma Thesis, Diploma Thesis Defense, and Professional Placement (PKL) Report Presentation.
  8. Specifically for Medical Education Undergraduate (S1) Study Program, the estimated tuition fees do not include fees for KKN (student community service), Undergraduate Thesis, Thesis Defense, and Clinical Education Stage Costs.

Rates for KKN, Diploma Thesis, Undergraduate Thesis, Thesis Defense, and PKL Report Presentation will be calculated in accordance with the rates set in the year of implementation.

The Undergraduate Program in Informatics offers a double degree program with UII partner universities, namely:

  • Youngsan University, Korea Selatan
  • Nanjing Xiaozhuang University, Tiongkok
  • Taylor’s University, Malaysia

In addition, students have the opportunity to participate in a credit transfer program or short courses with UII partner universities, namely:

  • Chulalongkorn University, Thailand
  • Rajamanggala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Thailand
  • Hanyang University, Korea Selatan
  • Hokkaido Information University, Jepang
