|Quran Enlightened Mind and ‘Sick Soul’|

Reading Al-Quran is not only as ritual prayer, but also it has tremendous benefits for mind and soul. Al Quran facilitates us to study and understanding our religion and contains ideas related to theology (aqidah), worship, human relation (muamalah), and many others.
"Quran corruption scandal becomes today’s hot issue in our media. This fact reveals that the suspect who was implicated in the Quran corruption scandal did not understand the content of the Holy Qur'an" as said by UII Rector, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec., when attending Khataman Al-Quran (Completion of the recitation of reading of the Qur'an) in Islamic Boarding School UII on Tuesday (7/3).
This activity was participated by students of Islamic Boarding School UII and staff of Directorate of Islamic Education and Development (DPPAI) UII. The objective of Quran Reading Ceremony was not only to commemorate the 69th UII anniversary but also to realize UII mission to conduct Islamic Dakwah Activity.
Prof. Edy expected that the existence of UII Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) can deliver benefit and service to the community as well as help to solve problems facing by our country
