Collaborating with Teater Djemuran – Drama club of Faculty of Industrial Technology students-, Marching Band UII performed musical theatre bringing wonderful story and of their journey taking part in various competition such as Langgam XXIV 2011 competition at Universitas Udayana Denpasar Bali, Grand Prix Marching Band XXVII at Istora Senayan Jakarta, and many others. Marching Band UII have successfully obtained many achievements such as becoming the first winner of IC color guard female and the third winner of IC snare drum as well as the 1st winner at Brass Ensemble Contest.
In this occasion, UII Vice Rector III, Ir. Bachnas expressed his highly appreciation to Marching Band who have carved his name as the winner in many competitions at regional and national level. “We hope that Marching Band UII to move forward and a step ahead go to international level competition. UII will always provide full support.” He uttered. In addition, he also noticed that the students have to manage their time effectively. “I also urge the students to always put priority in academic activities since the main goal of university students is to become scholars. “Students have to able to maintain a balance between their study and students organization activities.” Ir Bachnas emphasized. Meanwhile, Ir Bachnas, also urged the former member of Marching Band UII to always keep in touch with Marching Band UII and give real support by sharing knowledge and providing fund for the sake of Marching Band improvement. “As the representative of UII leaders, I’d like to extend my congratulation to the big family of Marching Band UII, hope better in the future! After held its 28th anniversary celebration on Saturday (2/25) at Moh Hatta’ building, Marching Band UII organizes art performance titled “Potret Hitam Putih Perjalanan Yang Komplementer”. .jpg "Image")
This event was full of music performance by Paduan Suara Mahasiswa (PSM-UII), Rukun Rencang, and UNISI band. There was also other awesome traditional dance performance.
