Lecturer and Staff at UII Engagement in Dakwah Islamiyah Activity E-mail

ImageA lecturer holds significant role in engrafting the Islamic values in order to build student’s character. Also, a lecturer is one of campus stake holder who always interacts and communicates with their students. For this purpose, Directorate of Islamic Education and Development (DPPAI-UII) held Islamic Dakwah Training for new lecturer at Universitas Islam Indonesia on Friday (3/30).

Director of DPPAI, dr. Agus Taufiqurrahman, M.Kes., Sp.S as the speaker at this training stated that a lecturer have to able to engraft the top three values in students including morality and spirituality, intellectuality, and social awareness. 

According to dr. Agus Taufiqurrahman who is also lecturer at Faculty of Medicine UII, lecture were forced to be role model in their community in performing Dakwah Islamiyah activity. Moreover, they must be ready becoming consultant and supervisor for their students as well as for public society.

ImageMeanwhile, Agus Triyanta, SH.,M.H,.Ph.D, lecturer at Faculty of Law UII who was also the second speaker explained about the Dynamic of Contemporary Islamic Thought. Based on his opinion, the diversity of Islamic thought at present was caused by diversity of approach and the methods of Tafsir and Ijtihad emerging modern secularism.

On the other hand, this training was also held for administrative staff at Universitas Islam Indonesia on Saturday (3/31). In this event featured some speakers including dr. Agus Taufiqurrahman and Head of Islamic Development Division DPPAI, Drs. Jamroni, MSI.

Drs. Jamroni, MSI, mentioned that UII staffs have to possess Islamic knowledge, patience, bravery, self-confidence, and sincerity in spreading Islamic dakwah activity.
